- Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field or a combination of education, training and related work experience;- Experience providing administrative and financial services in an office environment such as writing formal correspondence, briefing materials and reports, formatting documents, organizing and scheduling meetings and managing electronic filing systems;- Experience in dealing with senior officials, parliamentarians and the media;- Experience in using the MS-Office suite and other systems supported by the Senate;- Bilingual or English essential or French essential;- Detail oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate and multitask competing priorities and timelines;- Strong research, analytical and communication skills as they relate to policy review and legislative rules and procedures;- Experience coordinating travel arrangements and monitoring expenditures and/or budget tracking is considered an asset;- Experience and aptitude working with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) is considered an asset.
