About this job

The Senate of Canada is looking for a proactive and meticulous Information Management Analyst who is proficient in information management (IM) practices and tools.
In preparation for successful transition from network shared drives environment to Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) solution, your typical task will include consulting services to the Senate Administration Directorates, which involves identifying requirements and coordinating the development and administration of IM tools such as the Function-Based Classification System (FBCS). Your analytical skills will be extremely important as you will analyze and resolve IM related issues by providing technical expertise, support, advice, guidance and recommendations. This job is a great opportunity if you are always willing to share your knowledge and experience with the IM teams members, as you will also develop, coordinate and deliver training and awareness sessions on IM, recordkeeping practices, SharePoint, etc.

Screening Criteria

A college diploma or certificate in a related field or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position;
Recent* experience in managing IM tools such as a Function-Based Classification System (FBCS) and Retention and Disposition Schedules (RDS);
Experience in the provision of IM related advice, services, support and products to clients in a hybrid environment (i.e. paper and electronic documents), including an EDRMS or equivalent, ex.: GCDocs, RDIMS;
Experience in coordinating consultations with clients and facilitating working groups

Knowledge of IM practices, including basic knowledge and of lifecycle management of electronic and print information;

Asset Qualifications

Experience in working with SharePoint;
