We are looking for a client-oriented and reliable Broadcasting and Application Support Analyst. Your typical tasks will focus on two major technical areas: 1) Help desk service for internal Senate applications and systems support (front line support, executing test cases, assistance in the development of training materials and documenting client business needs);2) Operating, monitoring and managing digital recording equipment and webcasting services; editing and duplicating audio and video files; assisting with the coordination and scheduling of broadcasting events.You will communicate not only with your colleagues, Senate administration employees and senators’ staff as end-users of various Senate business applications and as clients of broadcasting services, but also with the House of Commons Multimedia Services staff and Committees directorate staff to support the broadcasting activities of the Senate.In this role you will face a number of exciting challenges. You will become a member of a dynamic team responsible for planning, reviewing and testing new systems to meet the modern requirements of Senate business applications. You will collaborate with partners in a project to modernize Senate broadcasting services (such as the upcoming planned televising of Chamber proceedings). Other projects include supporting end-users with a new content management system for senators’ websites by delivering training and preparing user guides and manuals. Successful completion of post-secondary education from a recognized institution in a field related to the position OR an acceptable combination of relevant education, training and experience;Experience using MS Office products;Experience in using digital recording and editing equipment and software;Experience in supporting live audio and video broadcasts and webcasts;Experience in writing end-user training manuals and/or in designing and delivering training.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint);Knowledge of digital recording and editing equipment and software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro).

Post-secondary graduation in either the IT or Broadcasting fields;Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite;General knowledge and understanding of the Canadian parliamentary system.
