The Material Logistic Clerk is accountable for the daily shipping and receiving of all Senate assets (incoming and outgoing) and related waybill registration and materiel handling activities conducted in a distribution center environment, to support the ongoing business requirements of Senators and the Senate Administration. There is also a responsibility for the moving and handling of assets and their storage across the warehouse facilities.

• Successful completion of a secondary school education or an acceptable combination of on-the-job training and experience;• Minimum of one (1) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment where you were safely and efficiently conducting shipping and receiving tasks;• Experience preparing outgoing shipments, producing shipping documents, and moving packaged shipments to the loading dock for shipping;• Good computer skills with a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a computerized asset-tracking system or warehouse management system (WMS);• Experience in processing and tracking data to prepare reports and/or summary findings;• Ability to lift up to 35kg to stock shelves as well as load and unload trucks;• Experience using bar code readers and a valid forklift certification would be a strong asset.
