The analyst provides front-line support in the delivery and maintenance of the Senate Resource Management System, including incident and problem management, data integrity, testing, release, data table configuration management, security administration, training and user account management.The analyst performs analyses and proposes solutions for system enhancements, increased functionality, and for the design of financial reporting that meet client needs.
The general public to staff one temporary (full-time) position for the duration of one (1) year in the Finance and Procurement Directorate. This selection process may be used to staff other similar positions.
• Post-secondary diploma in a field related to the duties of the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience;• Experience in entering data and transactions in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as SAP, Oracle, Unit4 Business World, or other similar software;• Experience with writing or maintaining systems or technical documentation; • Experience onboarding users to new system functionality; • Experience in the development of presentations, training materials, or user guides;• Knowledge of finance or procurement or asset management processes;• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) models;• Good knowledge of MS Excel (Advanced analysis techniques);• Ability to identify, define and analyze problems or situations, and recommend solutions;• Ability to analyze system changes and improvements, and evaluate options including their impact on the system;• Ability to prepare and conduct pre-implementation testing;• Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
